Woke: When the Evidence Is Too Strong to Hide

In just the last few months, more and more real-world examples have shown exactly what happens to a person’s mentality after years of constant bombardment with woke ideology starting in grade school. One video currently circulating online has gone mega-viral. It shows a 27-year-old student at the University of Central Florida having a complete meltdown when confronted by campus police. The student, identified in reports as Jarrett Preston Vick, was creating a disturbance. When officers asked the individual to calm down and lower their voice, the response was an immediate shouting tirade: repeatedly screaming “She! She! Just say the right pronoun!” and “Stop misgendering me.” The person then jumped up and down like a five-year-old throwing a full temper tantrum for not getting their way. Officers eventually used pepper spray and a taser before making an arrest after the situation escalated into physical resistance.

This has become one of the clearest illustrations of what happens when a person is never told “no.” When every demand is simply handed over, even if the demand is an ideology that makes no practical sense, the result is someone who cannot function as a normal member of society, let alone a contributing one. This is exactly why so many people have deep reservations about allowing someone in this state of mind into a public restroom where children might be present. Imagine what could have happened if this person had been in a public restroom with a young girl who simply observed biological reality and said the person was a man. This individual had a complete meltdown with law enforcement, something the average person would never do. Knowing that the same reaction could be directed at an ordinary citizen should concern every reasonable person. This has been allowed to go on far too long, and it has reached depths in the human mind where reversal may no longer be possible.

This is beyond simple ideology. This is full indoctrination. It plants a false reality into the mind of someone capable of harming others because of their own delusions. And make no mistake, it is a delusion. Whether that delusion was implanted or started from somewhere else is almost beside the point. A delusion remains a delusion. If society refuses to recognize it and respond appropriately, these delusions will cause more and more harm to the general population and to society as a whole.

None of this should surprise anyone who has been paying attention. This is classic cause and effect. If you treat a person like a five-year-old for their entire life, giving in to every demand and every bit of foolishness, you end up with a generation of fools. When make-believe that belongs in childhood play is allowed to become someone’s entire reality, there is no one else to blame for the results. We are already seeing those results. We are not creating a generation of well-adjusted, well-mannered people with good intentions. We are creating people who do not understand critical thinking or rational reasoning. An entire generation has been taught that feelings should guide every decision and that “how I feel right this second” is the most important thing in the world. Rational people know that reality does not bend to anyone’s feelings. As a functioning adult, you must adjust yourself to actual reality if you want any chance at a productive, happy life.

The people who have been catering to these delusions in the name of individual happiness have produced the opposite result. Most of these individuals appear more miserable than almost anyone else. No one ever taught them simply to be proud of who and what they actually are. Instead, they have been told from the earliest age that everything about them is wrong. That is the result we are watching unfold. If people still cannot see it, they are either keeping their eyes closed, looking away, or they are actively part of the problem.

Teachers are no longer primarily teachers. Too many have become indoctrinators. When large numbers of high school graduates cannot read beyond a fourth or fifth grade level, that is a clear sign that the fundamentals are not being taught. When a young person cannot name the first president of the United States but can instantly name the latest TikTok star, the education system is in dire condition. The responsibility sits with the people creating the curriculum, the administrators, and those with direct influence over an entire generation. They are laying the foundation for the problems now rising to the surface. Anyone who refuses to admit this is either choosing not to see it or is complicit. If you are choosing not to see it, start paying attention, because things are approaching a point of no return. If you are part of it, do some serious soul-searching and ask yourself whether you are truly comfortable with what you are creating.

This is not about acceptance. This is about actually hurting people. In today’s climate it sometimes seems that if a person said they wanted to kill themselves, the “compassionate” response would be to encourage it. Real compassion does the opposite. You do not hand a drug addict more drugs. That is not compassion. That is contributing to the problem.

One of the biggest issues is the replacement of actual facts with opinion and with what people wish were true. Take the entire gender ideology debate. Until very recently, the term “gender” referred almost exclusively to a part of speech in grammar. That was it. Then certain researchers began using the language of science to push something far darker. The case of Dr. John Money and young David Reimer stands as the clearest documented example.

David Reimer was born Bruce Reimer in 1965, an identical twin with his brother Brian. At about eight months of age, a botched circumcision using electrocautery permanently destroyed his penis. His parents were referred to psychologist John Money at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Money believed gender identity was primarily learned through upbringing rather than biology. He persuaded the parents to raise Bruce as a girl. At 22 months the child underwent surgical castration (removal of the testes) and was renamed Brenda. Money presented the case publicly as a success and as proof that gender could be changed by social conditioning. What was not reported at the time was the reality of the annual follow-up sessions. Money forced the twin boys to perform sexual “rehearsal” acts with each other, including positions that simulated intercourse, and photographed them. David never accepted the female identity. As a teenager he transitioned back to living as a male, but the damage was profound. Both brothers suffered severe psychological trauma. Brian died by suicide in 2002. David died by suicide in 2004 at age 38.

This is the foundational case that woke circles still treat as empirical evidence that gender is fluid and exists only in the mind. In truth it was a catastrophic failure that demonstrated the opposite. It was not ancient scientific principle. It was a modern experiment that used the language of science to justify highly inappropriate and abusive treatment of children. The people promoting today’s gender ideology often have no idea where these ideas actually originated. They claim to act in the name of helping others while repeating concepts that began with the exploitation of two little boys.

If that history does not bother you, you are not just part of the problem. You are the problem. Promoting this to the most vulnerable members of society, our children, is an attempt to strip away innocence. Some of the adults pushing it may be too blind to understand what they are doing. Others may understand it perfectly because they share the same twisted outlook. People have become too complacent and too easily swayed by anyone who claims the title of “expert.”

The word “woke” means nothing if your brain remains asleep. It is time to wake up, look into the actual origins of the things people claim to support, and stop repeating slogans without research or life experience. Being accepted by people you would never otherwise want to be associated with is not acceptance worth having. At some point a person has to look honestly at what they have become. Instead of remaining easily led, stop being “woke” and actually become awake.
